Mr. Lizhi He
Determined to expose the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Lizhi He sent letters his colleagues and friends telling them the truth about Falun Gong. He had no way of knowing that police officers had been watching him as he mailed the letters. The retribution came quickly.
Dr. Sa Geng
For dissiminating truthful information about Falun Gong, Dr. Sa Geng and his wife were brutally tortured. His wife was persecuted to death in custody in 2003; Geng later escaped to the U.S. in 2015.
Mr. Bu Dongwei (David Bu)
Mr. Bu Dongwei (David Bu), was assigned to two-and-a-half years to Re-education through Labour on June 19, 2006, for his faith in Falun Gong. Through efforts from Amnesty International’s pre-Olympic prisoner campaign in 2008, Bu was freed in July 2008.
Ms. Li Weixun
Instead of relaying the usual announcements, to which all 30,000 employees at the Shengyang Heavy Machine Factory were duty-bound to listen, the company loudspeakers blared the screams of “Traitor!” and “Evil!”. The object of their malice was junior sales manager Li Weixun. The workers who knew her could not believe their ears.
Mr. Shenli Lin
The police escorted Mr. Shenli Lin and his wife hand in hand, down the hall to the top of the stairs. Jinyu wasn’t allowed to go any further. As Shenli turned his head and smiled goodbye, it would be two years before they saw each other again.
